    Ombré Powder Brows Prep

These prep notes help reduce bleeding, bruising, irritation, and poor pigment retention.

    • Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment. If you take blood-thinning medication or another prescribed medication that may affect bleeding or healing, check with your doctor or prescribing healthcare professional before making any changes. Do not stop prescribed medication unless they advise you to do so.
    • Avoid retinoids, vitamin A, vitamin C, and exfoliating products for 1 week before your appointment.
    • Stay out of the sun and tanning beds for 5 days before your appointment.
    • Arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the brow area.

Do not book Ombré Powder Brows if you:

    • Are pregnant or nursing
    • Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation without doctor clearance
    • Have active skin infections such as cold sores or impetigo
    • Have uncontrolled autoimmune disorders
    • Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring

    Ombré Powder Brows Aftercare Basics

Appointment Day: Sterile Water Wipes Only

    • First Wipe: Complete exactly 30 minutes after your service concludes.
    • On the Go: If you are traveling, complete the first wipe as soon as you get home.
    • Second Wipe: Complete exactly 30 minutes after your first wipe.
    • Rest of Day: Do not wipe, wet, or touch your brows again for the rest of the day.

Days 2 Through 10: Morning and Evening Routine

    1. Sanitize First: Wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap.
    2. Wash Gently: Cleanse the brows using a pea-sized amount of Tattoo Care Neutral Liquid Soap.
    3. Rinse Completely: Splash lightly with cool water to remove all soap residue.
    4. Pat Dry: Dry the brows thoroughly with a fresh, clean paper towel.
    5. Moisturize Lightly: Apply a paper-thin layer of Tattoo Care Aloe Vera Moisturizing Cream.

Important: Applying too much cream smothers the skin and ruins pigment retention. Keep the layer minimal.

Daily Routine Restrictions (First 10 Days)

    • No Sweating: Avoid gym workouts, heavy lifting, cardio, saunas, and other activities that cause significant sweating.
    • No Dirty Tasks: Postpone gardening, deep room dusting, and dirty chores to reduce exposure to bacteria.
    • No Soaking: Wash your face outside of the direct shower stream to prevent over-saturating the brow area.
    • Shower Protection: Apply a thin layer of Vaseline over the brows before stepping into the shower. Remove the Vaseline completely immediately after exiting the shower.
    • No Makeup: Keep brow pencils, powders, foundation, and other cosmetics away from the entire brow frame.
    • Skincare Product Ban: Avoid Retinol, Vitamin C, Glycolic Acid, and Salicylic Acid near the brows for four weeks.

    Hygiene and Sleep Care

    • Fresh Linens: Sleep on a fresh, clean pillowcase on the first night to reduce bacterial exposure.
    • Sleep Position: Sleep flat on your back so the fresh brows do not rub against the pillow or bedding.
    • Hands Off: Do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking skin. Allow it to shed naturally.

    The Emotional Rollercoaster: Healing Timeline

    • Days 1–3: The brows will look dark, bold, and much heavier than the final healed result.
    • Days 4–7: Light flaking and peeling begin, which may make the brows look temporarily patchy.
    • Days 8–14: The “Ghosting Phase” may occur, during which the pigment appears to disappear beneath a layer of fresh, healing skin.
    • Weeks 4–6: The true color blooms back to the surface, leaving soft, healed Ombré Powder Brows.

    Waxing Prep

A little prep helps reduce irritation, bumps, and skin lifting.

    • Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long, about the size of a grain of rice.
    • Avoid retinols, AHAs, BHAs, and glycolic acid for 5 to 7 days before waxing.
    • Do not exfoliate on the day of your appointment.
    • Avoid lotions, oils, and heavy skincare on the day of service.
    • Arrive makeup-free if the waxing service involves the face.
    • Let Mary know about sensitive skin, skin medications, medical conditions, or past waxing reactions.
    • Do not wax over broken, sunburned, freshly exfoliated, or visibly irritated skin.

    After Waxing:

    • Avoid touching the freshly waxed area for 24 hours.
    • Avoid oils or makeup on freshly waxed skin if possible.
    • If you bring makeup brushes after waxing, make sure they are clean.
    • Use gentle skincare while the skin settles.

    Facial Prep

Facial prep helps your skin get the most from your appointment.

    • Avoid harsh scrubs or chemical peels for 5 to 7 days before your facial.
    • Avoid tanning or heavy sun exposure for 5 days before and after your facial.
    • Wear comfortable clothing, especially for facial services that may include massage or décolleté work.
    • Let Mary know about medications, allergies, sensitivities, or recent flare-ups.
    • If you wear lash extensions, wait 24 hours after lash services before booking a facial that may affect lash glue.
    • Arrive makeup-free for best results.

    Makeup & Tint Prep

For makeup services or tint-only services, arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the area being serviced.

If you are not booking a brow shaping service with your makeup or tint appointment:

    • Arrive with brows freshly tweezed or trimmed.
    • Lightly exfoliate if appropriate for your skin.
    • Arrive makeup-free around the brow area.

    Checkout Payment Options

Flexible payment options may be available directly at checkout. Depending on the service and checkout eligibility, you may see options such as pay in full, deposit, Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm, PayPal, or PayPal Pay Later.
